New Plymouth - Hamilton Roadtrip Impressions

We hit the Road to Hamilton pretty excited about what is ahead of us, we knew there wasn't that much to do but there certainly is much to see and take a few short stops.

The White Cliff Bay truly disappointed me, now don't get me wrong, I imagine it is beautiful in summer, with its light (not white!!) cliffs and black sand beaches, but on a cloudy day it has lost all its magic...

We spend some time at the three sisters beach, realizing that you need low tide to walk to the three sisters and we had high tide we decided to stick around and drive up to a huge field from where we had an amazing view over the three sisters.

To be completely honest I didn't see where they should be and especialy where the elephant was supposed to be, but after Matt pointed it out to me I thought it was really impressive!!

Also how cool are these grassy hills that cover the whole north island??!!

Next stop was the Mangapohue Natural Bridge! It was a short walk through the bush and then after a while the scenery changed and we walked through a huge gorge ending in an arch, which was supposed to be the natural bridge.

We didn't expect to much of this walk since we've already seen a few very badass arches, but the beauty of this place truly blew us away, it just had such a magic flair to it!

Just after coming out of the arch there was a grassy area ful of oddly shaped stones.

Of course we made it our mission to explore them all and climb on any that were high enough!

Next up were the Marokopa Falls, now when travelling New Zealand you'll end up seeing a lot of waterfalls, because they are basically everywhere! This one was truly one of our favorite ones!

It was quite wide and had a really beautiful rainbow right next to it! Rainbows make me really excited, pair it with a waterfal and you'll have a really happy Kiki.

Sorry for the lack of a blogpost on wednesday, I got really sick and decided to take a small break!
Anyways I am back now with th normal schedule of Wednesdays and Saturdays. There is also a really exciting project coming up really soon that I've been working on for nearly a year now!
As you can see I found major inspiration here in New Zealand and can't wait to share it with all of you!
Have an amazing weekend!
Love: Kiki
